"Who will be the cream of the crop this year?"
The event continues to grow and grow. Last year the glittering final at the Centenary Pavilion in Leeds saw almost 400 people come together for what is now one of the most important dates on the social calendar.
The Oliver Awards have quickly become one of the most highly respected measures of quality, largely due to our frank reviews in the pages of the Yorkshire Evening Post's Scene supplement, published every Thursday. Which is why every year the number of nominations increases - so expect an even bigger bash this year, once again at the Centenary Pavilion, Leeds United.
What has changed is the variety of venues entering and throwing their hats into the ring offering a true refection of the Oliver Awards' growing profile, not to mention the diversity of food and drink available. From fast food to fine dining, small cafe/bars to showpiece restaurants, and city centre hotspots to quiet backstreet venues in the suburbs, the array is simply staggering.
