Next week sees a celebration of some the region’s most prestigious producers and suppliers with the launch of the Yorkshire Post Magazine Live 2013. the free event, which takes place at Pavilions of Harrogate in the beautiful surroundings of the Great Yorkshire Showground, brings together all the main themes of the Yorkshire Post Magazine, available every Saturday with the newspaper, offering an array of inspiration from homes and gardens to food and drink.
More than 50 exhibitors will be displaying an assortment of quality products such as fashion, jewellery, beauty products, kitchens, gourmet foods, wines, photography and much much more.
Demonstrations and presentations from some of the region’s brightest talent will be hosted over the two days to delight and entertain, offering fantastic ideas and master classes brimming with expert know-how. The kitchen demonstration area will seeawealth of expertise as chefs show their culinary flair. These include Stephanie Moon, Rudding Park’s chef consultant and a familiar face on television – appearing on this year’s Great British Menu; John Rudden, head chef at Grassington House, which boasts two rosettes and an excellent rating in the Good Food Guide; and Lee Bennett, executive chef of its two new restaurants in Leeds, Craft House and Angelica. Located in an eye-catching Yorkshire yurt, award-winning wine writer for the Yorkshire Post Christine Austin will be hostingawine tasting presentation and talking about her travels to wine regions around the world.
Along with this, the lifestyle demonstrations taking place over the two days will introduce you to a myriad of ways to breathe new life into interiors and landscapes. Jamie Hempsall, a member of the British Institute of Interior Design and regular columnist for the Yorkshire Post, has established a reputation for innovation. In his presentations he will be looking at using colour and textures in your home as well as giving an insight into the world of interior design.
Also presenting is Tricia Douglas, whose talent lies in creating bespoke designs. With more than 20 years experience, she has won commissions in the UK and overseas.
With 40 years of knitting experience, Julie Arnfield-Crowther, will be on hand with her technique master class to show guests how to knit likeapro, along with how to create beautiful knitted accessories.
For outdoor inspiration, Sheffield-based Lee Bestall, winner of Grand Designs’ Garden Designer of the Year 2012, shares a selection of his favourite spring plants and flowers and offers his tips for successful garden design.
