The hunt for the district’s best businesses and business people has begun, with the launch of the 13th Harrogate Advertiser Business Awards.
The awards, which are sponsored by Harrogate and Pateley Bridge estate agent Verity Frearson, are open to businesses in every sector trading in the circulation area of the Harrogate Advertiser, Knaresborough Post, Wetherby News, Nidderdale Herald and Ripon Gazette.
The awards dinner will be held at Harrogate's Royal Hall in Harrogate on Thursday, April 19th and will be co-hosted by Jean MacQuarrie, the Editor of the Harrogate Advertiser and Group Weeklies Editor for Johnston Press Yorkshire, along with Sir Gary Verity, the Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire.
The awards dinner takes a new twist this year, with a 1920s themed evening for guests to enjoy.
There's a new Shortlist event this year as well, where all the entries who make it through to the shortlist will be invited. along with the Awards sponsors, to an evening networking event at the White Hart Hotel in Harrogate in March 15th.
Jean MacQuarrie said: "Last year we held the event at the Royal Hall for the very first time, and it was such a fantastic venue for an awards ceremony that we had to go back again.
"I am very much looking forward to recognising the cream of the region's business community and presenting these awards in such a fabulous setting.
" We wish all entrants the best of luck and look forward to seeing them all there on the night."
Businesses may enter as many categories as they wish and are advised to start preparing their entries now. Entry is free.
Entries are invited across 13 categories and can be submitted online by clicking on ‘Nominate’. The closing date for entries is noon on Monday, February 19th 2018.
